Your Burning Questions…Answered

1. How do we book you?

Booking begins with a conversation. When you think you have found the right package for you, scroll to the bottom of any page to find a contact button. The contact form asks for preferred dates, locations, and most importantly, your vision—I want to know what you do and don't love.

From there, we'll finalize the details with a quick phone call, email, or Zoom chat to ensure we are a perfect fit. To officially lock in your date on my calendar, I require a signed contract and a 25% retainer fee.

While retainers are non-refundable, my business uses a humanistic approach—if the unexpected happens, we will work together to find a solution. My ultimate goal is to create a warm, collaborative, and entirely stress-free experience for you.

2. Do you travel?

Yes, I love traveling to new landscapes and am always ready to meet you where your story takes place.

If your session location aligns with a trip I already have on the calendar, there is no extra fee. For new destinations, a travel and lodging custom quote will be seamlessly integrated into your chosen package.

3. What should I wear? Do you help with styling?

Yes! What you wear plays a huge role in how your images feel, but comfort is always priority number one.

Once you book and we have your vision, I'll put together your style guide. It will include color palettes that complement and contrast the natural landscape, and I'll help you coordinate without perfectly matching.

In the future, I will provide a client closet. For now, I am slowly acquiring clothing for it.

4. I’m worried about my kids…what if they won’t listen and pose?

Honestly? I love the vibrant energy children bring to a session, and the best photos come from letting them just be themselves.

If they are shy, we’ll take our time warming up until they feel completely comfortable. If they need a break to run around or grab a snack, we take a break!

In my family, I pride myself on being the  favorite aunt. I earned that title by matching their unhinged, feral energy. As long as safety isn't an issue, I think it's best to let their chaos shine while you play with them.

I've also worked with children from ages 3-18 as a gymnastics coach—this means I've handled excessive energy and meltdowns in environments they could get injured. Trust me—you and your kiddos are in great hands here.

5. Can we do a blue hour and night session?

I am obsessed with milky way and aurora shoots. If you want to skip the sunset and capture something truly epic, check out my Cosmic Package!

I won't lie to you, it will be challenging...but, it will also be fun.

Availability: Night sessions require extra planning regarding lighting considerations, location, moon phases, and weather, so if you want to create some cosmic art together, let’s chat early so we can map out the perfect night!

6. What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our session?

As those of us in Colorado know, this is common in the Rocky Mountain summers. I monitor the weather leading up to our session. If we are facing dangerous conditions—like lightning, torrential downpours, or you just don't feel safe driving that day, we will reschedule at no extra cost to you.

However, don't be afraid of a little mood! Overcast skies, wind, or light flurries often create the most epic, dramatic lighting and beautiful dynamic movement in photos.

If that classic, glowing Golden Hour light is a total non-negotiable for your vision and the sky looks like a solid wall of gray, let’s chat! We can always look at the radar and find a solution or a backup date.

7. My partner and I are super awkward in front of the camera. Can you still help us?

I hear this all the time. My sessions are designed to feel like a fun hangout or a gentle walk through a beautiful space, not a rigid modeling test.

Awkward, forced smiles are not what I'm going for. Instead of telling you exactly where to put your chin or how to smile, I use interactive prompts and games that get you laughing, moving, and connecting naturally. You just focus on each other, and I’ll capture the rest.

8. How many images do I get, and when will I receive my gallery?

Every package includes a guaranteed minimum number of high-resolution, professionally edited digital images delivered via a private, downloadable online gallery.

When your photos are ready, you will actually receive two distinct galleries: one contains full-resolution, print-quality images for your home, and the other is optimized specifically for social media (trust me—you don't want to rely on Facebook's compression software to downsize your files).

Because I balance this photography business with finishing a dual Master's degree program, I utilize a rolling delivery system that keeps things moving efficiently for everyone.

You can expect an initial set of sneak peeks within the first few days of our shoot, followed by regular gallery updates as I curate and polish your images. Your entire collection will be fully completed within 3 to 4 weeks, depending on your package. I incorporate editing time into my schedule to avoid overbooking.

9. Can I bring my dog to the session?

Oh, yes. Pets are family, and they bring an incredible, chaotic joy to outdoor sessions. My dog, Loki, has his own photography portfolio, so I am incredibly biased toward four-legged clients.

The location just needs to be doggo friendly. Just pack some high-value treats, a favorite toy, and a  leash.

The only thing I ask is that you let me know ahead of time. Loki is a service animal, so introducing another dog into the mix just requires a tiny bit of extra logistical planning on my part to ensure a safe, smooth, and stress-free environment for everyone involved.
